As of March 12 “Solaris” electric bus will be tested on bus routes No. 1, 23 and 25
"Rīgas satiksme" informs that starting from this Saturday, March 12, and until March 23, a white-silver electric bus, Solaris Urbino Electric 12, will be tested on bus routes No. 1, 23 and 25.
Polish company “Solaris Bus & Coach S.A.” has offered “Solaris” electric bus to "Rīgas satiksme" for temporary testing, and the electric bus will carry passengers on the above routes. Despite its unusual livery, it will fulfil the functions of public transport, which means that all passengers getting on the electric bus will have to register their e-tickets or buy tickets in the vehicle.
Thinking about environment friendly solutions, "Rīgas satiksme" is focused on technologies which save the environment, including electric transport. The above electric bus will be just tested, and on March 17 its presentation, including technical specifications and environmental impact, will take place in bus depot No. 7.
